There IS A CERTAIN beauty about the desert and its vastness which overcomes the senses. The empty road slicing through the vast reservoirs of sand around me is intriguing to say the least in its obvious temptation of speed. That said, I have the perfect car for the occasion, a svelte Ferrari Portofino M convertible. It's the newest Ferrari that has been re-designed and injected with a lot of more of what makes this supercar unique while still keeping the luxury trappings intact. I lower the roof (which can be done on the move as well) and take a deep breath before I push the accelerator pedal as hard I can.
The silence is shattered with the shriek of a twin-turbo V8 showing its most feral nature while 612 galloping horses showcase their brute force. I cling onto the steering wheel as it devours the road with utmost glee. Turbocharging hasn't had any effect on the classic Ferrari V8 soundtrack which rapidly fills the empty desert air.
