TAG HEUER is set to get your heart, and wrist, racing. The newest edition to the brand's lineup is the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Senna Special Edition, which celebrates motor racing legend Ayrton Senna who, 30 years ago, became the youngest Formula 1 driver to win three world championships.
The late Brazilian racer has been TAG Heuer's brand ambassador since 1988, and with the 2021 timepiece, TAG Heuer evokes the memory of one of the most iconic racers in the history of F1 and once again celebrates the partnership with the Senna brand.
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Senna Special Edition further augments the brand's passion and commitment for motorsports.
The special edition's colour scheme is yellow and black, and pays tribute to Senna's iconic colours. The yellow tone features on the famous double 'S' (the Brazilian driver's iconic logo), which crowns the bezel at 12 o'clock, alongside the Senna name. The double S signature can be found on the dial too, where they are incorporated in the 6 o'clock subdial. The grey anthracite dial houses classic hour, minute, and second indicators at 6, 9, and 3 o'clock, and is adorned with a discreet 'TAG Heuer Formula 1' reminder.
THE TAG HEUER FORMULA 1 SENNA SPECIAL EDITION'S COLOUR SCHEME IS YELLOW AND BLACK, AND PAYS TRIBUTE TO SENNA'S ICONIC COLOURS
One of the more poignant features of the timepiece is the black leather bracelet embossed with the 'S' Link pattern, a reference to the bracelet of the TAG Heuer S/el watch that Senna used to wear (its distinctive unique S-shaped design is highly recognisable). The bracelet's leather is energised by the yellow stitching and also features a black steel clasp with double safety system push buttons.
