Why Zero Impact Training Is Essential For Runners

As a marathon coach for more than 20 years, I’ve seen firsthand that runners tend to ignore nagging aches and pains and run through them if possible. Although their fortitude is admirable, their habit of not addressing physical issues can lead to more serious injuries over time.

As an endurance runner, I also know that nothing is tougher for runners than to be sidelined from their favourite activity, and few runners want to be limited to swimming or biking.

Fortunately in recent years, advances in technology have brought to market several zero-impact solutions for running longer and smarter, allowing those who are injured to continue running as well as potentially avoid future injury.
