At our latest cover shoot, the wonderful Twiggy was demonstrating her legendary modelling prowess. To get the perfect shot, she gamely tried on a whole rail of clothes, and jumped two feet in the air. All this activity was regularly interspersed with peals of her (surprisingly loud) laughter.

Twiggy the model might be impressive, but she’s so much more than ‘a face’. She boasts a CV that runs from award-winning film and stage actress to singer to TV presenter via America’s Next Top Model judge.

But, despite her stellar career, she puts family first. She is happily married to actor Leigh Lawson, proud mother to her daughter Carly and stepson Jason, and grandmother to their children. Here’s life, according to Twiggy...

I can’t lie about my age, it’s been written since I was 16! But I don’t really think about it. If you get too obsessed, you’re in trouble, aren’t you? You can’t turn back time, so you might as well enjoy what you’re doing now. I have friends who get depressed at birthdays, but you can’t do anything about getting older, so what’s the point? I love birthdays. You get presents! I’m very lucky – I’ve got a husband I adore, I’ve got lovely kids and grand kids. I should be so bloody lucky!
