The rich and beautiful region of Normandy in western France is the guest of honor this summer at the Galeries Lafayette department store on the Boulevard Haussmann.
The event, Normandie Chérie, is dubbed as a road trip to creation and art with architecture, food, and fashion among the myriad themes to be found. The department store is highlighting the creative energy of this diverse region of fields, farms, wooded countryside and beaches that inspired the Impressionist painters, the great fashion designers Gabrielle Chanel and Christian Dior as well as leading filmmakers. The gastronomy of Normandy is being showcased as well through an abundance of regional products.
