Hands-On Geology

There’s lots of activity going on at the Lochranza Centre, year-round

Hands-On Geology

THE Lochranza Centre provides the base for a huge range of activities, for individuals or family, including Morienteering, raft-building and gorge walking.

It’s the ideal base for a family break – a weekly service in August that attracts many repeat visitors. As well as top quality accommodation, the holiday includes two activities a day, with one day free, meals and equipment supplied.

The centre is now fast approaching its 40th anniversary and plays a leading role in introducing visitors to the island’s geological and geographical wonders. It leads the way in biology, geography and geology academic field courses with new public geology sessions starting in July this year.
