Electric Fields Rock!
The Scots Magazine|September 2017

Your music expert, Lisa-Marie Ferla, invites you to party at Drumlanrig

Electric Fields Rock!

SCOTT HUTCHISON of Frightened Rabbit describes it as having “the best line-up of any Scottish festival this year” – although, since his band headlines the Friday night, you’d be forgiven for being a little suspicious.

Yet with headliners who represent the cream of Scottish, British and US talent, two Scottish Album of the Year winners and a host of acclaimed indie darlings as well as new music and the first dedicated spoken-word stage of any major Scottish festival, 2017 feels like the year for Electric Fields to go stratospheric.

The festival will take place on September 1 and 2, giving it the right to the title of “last party of the summer”. It takes place in the grounds of 17th-century Drumlanrig Castle, the Dumfriesshire home of the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch, just over an hour’s drive from Glasgow and the only music festival I know of with its own adventure playground.
