Mindy Tjang always thought she would pursue a career in numbers. She was deathly good at them from a young age, travelling the world to compete in mathematical Olympiads and winning multiple awards. “I like how logical it is. Once you understand the formula, you know the answer,” the 28-year-old shares.
At the University of Southern California, she majored in business with an emphasis on finance and marketing and wanted to join the banking industry after graduation. Then, she helped out in the family business – a chain of aesthetics clinics called, aptly enough, The Aesthetics Medical Clinic. The technology and treatments fascinated Tjang to such an extent that she decided to join. Today, she’s still just as invested in the business as when she first joined four years ago.
