As we approach the final quarter of 2021 after spending most of the year under lockdown, a change of scenery has never been more appealing— especially when you’re fully vaccinated and in desperate need of that beachside holiday.

Now, though, what once seemed like a faraway dream can now be made a reality: after reopening its international borders since July 2020, the Maldives has never been more prepared to welcome its visitors with open arms, having fine-tuned their Covid-19 safe tourism guidelines (as issued by the Republic of Maldives’ Ministry of Health), which can be found on the Visit Maldives website.

In this article, we talk about the three major reasons why this spectacular island destination should be number one on your post-vaccination to-visit list.
