You can often tell which generation a Hongkonger belongs to by their favorite ride at Ocean Park, the amusement park that opened in 1977. While they may no longer be able to enjoy some of the older rides, including Mine Train, Raging River and The Abyss, which were shut down last month to make way for future attractions, visitors nostalgic for their childhoods can enjoy a blast from the past with the opening of Water World Ocean Park last month. The original water park closed in 1999; the long-awaited, reimagined space took six years and HK$4 billion to build and opened to the public on September 21.
