The beginning
I got married to Sudeep Boochra in 1985. While I wanted to be a clothing designer, my father-in-law, Seth Lalit Kumar Boochra, insisted I join Silver Centrre Company, the family business.
Inspiration
I am inspired by my father-in-law and India’s rich culture. I frequently travel to Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and South India to capture the diverse art forms and craft. Tribal and traditional art and jewellery is my weakness!
Silver jewellery industry in India
Silver is the new gold! It is trendy and goes with everything, has better finish as compared to gold, does not react on the skin, and more. The future of India revolves around silver jewellery - it will be the next big thing.
