A consistent sleep schedule is essential as it helps give kids a sense of confidence and helps to teach them how to fall asleep on their own, explains Louise Troen, the vice president of international marketing at Headspace.

“Having a repetitive, enjoyable and relaxing set of activities before bed each night can help children to unwind from their active day and relax into a restful sleep,” she says. “Children’s bedtimes can be one of the most stressful times of the day for parents, and a lack of routine can have implications on children’s wellbeing, overall development and general health.”
