JOHN WAYNE GLOVER: GRANNY KILLER

At the beginning of 1989, John Wayne Glover went on a 14-month horror spree. He murdered six women aged between 60 and 92, and molested five others, during visits to nursing homes and retirement villages. His penchant for preying on old ladies dubbed him, ‘The Granny Killer’.

Working as a pie salesman and with his grey hair, friendly smile and middle-aged spread, Glover looked like the cuddly grandfather type as he stalked the safe suburban streets of Mosman, NSW.

Killing his victims on weekdays between 3pm and 6pm, he approached them by making small talk or offering to carry their shopping.
