Loving Life and heavily packed with so much talent. However, I&#39;ll admit that it isn&#39;t a place to thrive as a young artist. Not purely. So as of now, I&#39;m striving to change that aspect. Building up love from home is like no other, when your city is behind you it seems like the world is that much less daunting to take by storm. You know? Because at least you can come home! Right now, if you ever visited St. Louis and spoke to other up and coming artists such as myself, you&#39;d be so surprised to hear that St. Louis is pretty hard to gain that &quot;home&quot; support. Usually, you have to make it elsewhere and then St. Louis will accept you and fully support you. No one knows why that is and sooooo many can&#39;t accept that fact and they relocate and establish themselves elsewhere. I&#39;m aiming to change that!MM: Funniest/craziest experience you&#39;ve encountered as a model? As a model, the craziest experience I&#39;ve encountered so far was a LIVE body paint session. I had done a body paint concept before so, I was fully expecting the naked exposure and the awkward moments between muse and painter. But, this session was on a different level! There was a national body paint and ballooning convention being hosted in my city. So national and world renowned painters were here to mingle and show off their skills, I was a chosen model for their bar mixer event. I was on the stage in the front of the bar with about 10 other models. The painters went around checking us out, the models were all lined up waiting to be chosen (America&#39;s Next Top Model type suspense!), I was nervous because my look was sooo different from all of the other girls! But I got chosen by the cutest little painter, we had an amazing conversation! My jitters completely blew away, I was a little weirded out by all the bar guests (mainly overly excited men) who were gawking over all the bare nipples on stage! My painter turned out to be an amazing soul; she was a yogi and had the most beautiful perspective on life, She turned my whole upper body into &quot;candy land&quot; I loved it! So did everyone else, they all freaked over how realistic the ice cream cone looked over my boob!MM: Who is your favorite music artist and why? DRAKE! I&#39;ve been a Drake since he made his first debut mixtape! He has grown sooo much over that time and I&#39;m honestly proud of how much he has evolved. He&#39;s my favorite artist because he&#39;s the only artist that I&#39;ve followed from the jump of the career until present time, you know? Before him it was Mariah! I could recite anything from any album of hers. The thing about Drake is, there&#39;s not one album of his that I can&#39;t listen to from beginning to end without any skips. From his love songs (which sometimes I feel&nbsp; like he HAS to know me.) all the way to the more upbeat &quot;feeling yourself&quot; hits, I&#39;m like all in it! I can cry with him, I can think, I can vibe out, I can dance, I can smash this workout, or I can simply be sexy; It&#39;s all his music. His success story is also very resonate with me, I just get it I understand and he&#39;s motivation! I have so many old school inspirations that the concept would surely come from 60s or 70s era. If so, what are they?I&#39;m a writer. I can&#39;t leave the house without a notebook. All of my thoughts get scribbled into a journal. But all of my creative pieces get worked on in the infamous notebooks that can be found anywhere in my home. I write poems and stories. I work on them with so much love and thought; I&#39;m very protective over my content. I literally cringe when someone walks up on me in the middle of writing and I notice their lingering on the page as I write or while I&#39;m trying to put it away. I&#39;ve always been complemented on my way with words and in school I was always most exciting about writing projects. Other than writing, my real talent is more intrinsic than anything. It can&#39;t really be performed or visually displayed. I&#39;m good at empathy and compassion, these help me detect a hurting soul so easily. I understand a great deal of people&#39;s outer shell and it helps them open up to me. It surprises me how much this magical talent gets me so far when dealing with others. So, it&#39;s amazing to have this &quot;talent&quot; I learn so much about the people who I come in contact with and they all teach so much about myself, I love it.MM: How do you balance your personal life and having a modeling career?A PLANNER! I can&#39;t go anywhere with out my planner. I write everything down&nbsp;on the&nbsp;month view of the calendar so I can see everything as I plan. When I&#39;m on the phone getting a shoot scheduled I HAVE to look at it; nothing gets mentally put down or I&#39;ll overbook myself on a day and I hate that feeling. I keep myself strict on not skipping workouts so I can remain sane and healthy for ONE! But also, this is the time I can zone out and get my thoughts together for the next move, or shoot, or whatever. Concept ideas come to me at that time so I love having that time to myself. The weekends are set for shooting. In between all of this, my boyfriend is great for being there. I tell him all of the latest developments, he comes to support, and covers me whenever I need him to fix loose ends or simply give me pep talks when I&#39;m feeling &quot;ugly and discouraged&quot;&nbsp;haha. Journaling and self-reflection help me to look at myself and keep me calm in those impatient and unsure moments.MM: favorite attire and why?Loungewear! I love some comfy yoga pants/leggings and an oversized shirt. Track suits, or a sports bra and shorts. I love body hugging lounge wear because, I love how my shape is naturally shown off. Plus, when I&#39;m home I am more than likely reading a book or writing so I&#39;d much rather be comfortable. If I could finish a project from beginning to end with full force then I&#39;d be so much better off. The confused look comes first, I laugh because I know exactly what question is coming next, then &quot;How old are you again?&quot; comes. I love it because well, that&#39;s a flattering compliment to me.MM: If you could give any advice to aspiring models what would it be?DON&#39;T compromise yourself just for the exposure. There are so many shady,&nbsp;subpar&nbsp;photographers out here that will prey on your ripeness. Figure out your look and your worth VERY early on and don&#39;t compromise on the essence of your overall brand out of impatience to get in front a camera. Look through their portfolios and verify credibility. If they say they can get you exposure, ask questions! What kind of exposure? What kind of photography do they specialize in? How long have they been in photography? Where is their network of influence based? Have they been published before? Are they capable of capturing you in a flattering way that will benefit your portfolio? Don&#39;t go anywhere unfamiliar on your own. If you don&#39;t feel comfortable bring a supportive companion. Usually the photographer doesn&#39;t mind, and if your photographer strongly opposes this then that might be a string indicator that this is a shoot you want to move! Also, treat your portfolio like your baby, don&#39;t add a bunch of tasteless photos because this IS your brand. Adding blemishes consistently will end in you not moving up as quickly as you&#39;d like to.MM: What&rsquo;s your idea of the perfect guy?Honestly, I don&#39;t have a magical man with all of the right prospects of perfection to whisk me away. I know we aren&#39;t all perfect. I think that&#39;s what I like most about getting to know a guy; his quirks, the things that make him an individual. We&#39;re all so different that what works for him and is perfect on him simply will not work on the next guy. I do have a small checklist of things I&#39;d love to see in any man. An attentive listener. A great cook.&nbsp;Ohhhh&nbsp;my goodness, a macho man. And really affectionate.MM: What is love to you?Love to me is practice and commitment. Love is&nbsp;alllll&nbsp;of the tough moments. I feel the most in love with my boyfriend after an argument. After, we&#39;ve exhausted our words and we&#39;re&nbsp;kinda&nbsp;just standing together in silence getting our words together. I love those moments (upon reflection) because neither of us have left the room, we&#39;re dealing with it. We&#39;re refusing to give up because overall our relationship is bigger than those moments. I believe that&#39;s what love is. It&#39;s, &quot;No, I don&#39;t like you right now. No, I don&#39;t agree with you but you better know that I love you way more than this moment we&#39;re having.&quot; Love is also attunement: moving with synonymous movement, knowing when he needs encouragement without telling you he&#39;s frustrated, apologizing despite hating apologies. Love is understanding and comfort.MM: What do you think about your first love?My first love wasn&#39;t what I thought it to be at the time. That love wasn&#39;t real love. We did indeed develop a dope friendship within the relationship however, after the breakup I was forced to do some real thinking and learning, What I learn essentially, was that I didn&#39;t love him for the right reasons. That was so romanticized and immature. He met conditions and I was good with that, once those conditions weren&#39;t being met anymore, I ended things. That&#39;s pure conditional love. It&#39;s not the unconditional love I know now and grew to learn about. It&#39;s not the practice and apply that I was speaking of before. Everything about my first love was so on the surface. However, out of the ending of it, I got an opened mind. I was able to fully open myself up and change and broaden my understanding of what real love is.MM: What&rsquo;s next for your brand and who has been a positive influence in your modeling career?Up next, you ask? Hmmmm. I have my eyes on collaborating with a lot of talent in different cities. So, next I can confidently say that my modeling will begin crossing state lines! I&#39;m going to travel and network more. My manager and I have cooked up some yummy ideas and I&#39;m looking forward to seeing them come fully alive. Working with some great local fashion brands is huge goal of&nbsp;mine this year as well, like I said, there&#39;s nothing like the love from home. Which brings me to the second part of the question, a positive influence in my career so far are the people of my early, yet developing&nbsp;fan base! The messages I receive are so heart warming and reassuring to me. I never realize how much I need support until I open some words of encouragement or praise after a long stretch of a busy day or time-consuming shoot. It&#39;s simply the best feeling to know that others are really rooting for your to make it big!MM: We love the images, how was it working with such a talented photographerIt&#39;s an amazingly chill vibe when I work with Chad. He&#39;s do great with giving me tips and directions when it&#39;s needed. It&#39;s so relieving to have your photographer and manager all rolled into one. He gives me the needed advice and he&#39;s going just as hard for me as I would for myself. That&#39;s not really that easy to find. He knows what my look is, he can see where my brand is headed and we have the same eye for concept ideas so it&#39;s amazing to see him at work. After our test shoot together, I knew it was a home run! When you find the perfect person for the position you keep them right? Well, I hope to keep him busy and occupied with the greatness we&#39;re working on together so stay tuned for our future works!MM: What will be the key to your longevity?My key to longevity will be these huge eyes I have. No literally, being able to see a situation going left far before really damage can be done is going to keep me alive in these bumpy road ahead of me.
