The Patek Philippe Watch Art Grand Exhibition 2019 in Singapore offers a look into the creation of some of the world’s most coveted timepieces
In horology, few brands are as revered as Patek Philippe, which turns 180 this year. The Swiss maison will demonstrate just why that is so with the Watch Art Exhibition set to take place at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore from September 28–October 13, 2019.
It is the fifth such exhibition of this scale, and the first to be hosted in Southeast Asia after Dubai, Munich, London and New York. The exhibition will take up 1,800sqm of space and be divided into 10 themed rooms.
For aficionados, the exhibition promises, apart from the full current collection, a wide range of significant historical pieces from its museum in Geneva that includes a royal piece presented to Queen Victoria in 1851 and the first Swiss wristwatch from 1868.
For aspiring collectors, this is a good opportunity to fully immerse into the Patek Philippe universe, complete with rare insight from the manufacture’s specialist artisans, such as renowned enameller Anita Porchet.
