Combining the words “work” and “play” is no easy task, but we found someone who has successfully merged the two, and now has a wondrous career for himself. Charismatic, professional and always dressed for the game, Steven Thielke is the chief executive officer of the Tournament Player Club Kuala Lumpur (TPCKL).

Born and bred in Cape Town, South Africa, Thielke’s first brush with golf began at a young age when he caddied for extra pocket money. Although he could not afford membership fees at the time, the job exposed him to golfing very early on.
