Fashioning The Future

Emerging local fashion designers have been getting a leg-up on the international stage, thanks to showcases organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

Fashioning The Future

As local labels like Anveglosa, Harrison Wong and Heaven Please+ show, there is a place and a taste for Hong Kong designers on the global stage, and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is doing its bit to put them there.

In early February, Fashion Hong Kong, a series of international events organised by the HKTDC to promote the city’s fashion designers and labels in the global arena, spotlighted three up-and-coming brands at New York Fashion Week and debuted four brands at London Fashion Week. And hot on the high heels of the creative UK showcase, it hosted a runway show at New York Fashion Week.

Fashion Hong Kong has actively participated in international fashion weeks and renowned trade shows since 2015 to showcase the city’s unique and diverse designs. Its footprints include New York, London, Copenhagen, Tokyo and Shanghai.
