Cambridge Audio’s ground floor kit nearly always exceeds expectations for design, build and sound quality. Lifted from its carton, the AXA35 simply doesn’t look or feel like a £300 amp. AX takes over from Topaz as the company’s entry-level range and the AX35 is the more expensive of the two amps (the AXA25 costs £215), but comfortably the cheapest in this group.
