The Hottest Manicure Trends For Spring/Summer 2023

Hands down, beautiful nails complete a look. While there are always classic colours such as cherry red, brown or nude shades, and designs like French tips to fall back on, we at Her World are always up for a statement-making manicure. And with so many nail styles making their mark each fashion season, we have pulled together a guide to the ones worth trying now. Here are the top eight trends.

BARBIECORE

Who doesn't love a splash of pink? If this is your favourite colour, all the more you should embrace a hot pink manicure (move aside, Viva Magenta). What's more, with the Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling slated to launch in July, it's a look that's not going to fade away any time soon.

FRENCH MANICURE

French tips are back. In fact, fashion designers like Tommy Hilfiger and Sandy Liang featured the once-outdated look at their Spring/Summer 2023 shows.

"Instead of the usual cream or white, opt for bold, bright colours (such as the Pantone colours), chrome or ombre," suggests celebrity nail technician Robbie Tomkins, who has worked with stars such as Hailey Bieber and Amanda Seyfried.

"And I've seen some wicked designs using magnetic polish." To nail the look at home, Robbie recommends painting the tip on a naked nail so you can see your nail bed as you do so. This way, if you're heavy-handed, you can use a clean-up brush to perfect that smile line.

3-D

As seen on rapper/singer Doja Cat as well as the hit TV series Euphoria, this nail design is bold and big. You can also glam it up with studs, gems or chains.

Robbie describes the trend as "conceptual" and "space age", adding that they are "not hugely practical, but will definitely get you noticed".
