Women and orgasms
The female anatomy always baffles me and leaves me in awe. I learnt that Dr Jasmine Ruth of Nexus Clinic categorises women into three categories based on their ability to achieve orgasms. Globally, 30 per cent of women cannot attain orgasms at all, while 30 per cent can only attain orgasms with penetration and stimulation. Contrary to popular belief, the G-spot is not a spot but an area with multiple stimulatory nerves that when stimulated, results in an orgasm. When the area – the upper vaginal wall – does not function due to various reasons, one is unable to climax sexually. This dysfunction is usually due to an anatomical or hormonal issue linked to child birth, menopause, ageing, and/or other sexual dysfunctions.
