Picture this: as you step out the door to work, the distant wails of your little one can be heard even inside the car. “Separation anxiety can sometimes come from not being honest with your child. It’s either you sneak out because you don’t want to deal with the emotions, or you think it’ll be better for the both of you. Rather than lessening the pain, you’ll cause them to constantly worry that whenever they turn their backs, you’ll disappear,” points out child specialist Racheal Kwacz.
