Fitbit’s gotten really good at the activity tracker game with two solid products in 2018. Both the Charge 3 and Versa proved that advanced tracking doesn’t have to carry a hefty price tag. In fact, the Versa was our Best Value winner in our recent smartwatch shootout (HWM March 2019). With the new range introduced as part of Fitbit’s 2019 Spring Launch however, some of their product choices were a little surprising. For example, instead of improving upon last year’s Versa, Fitbit released a Versa Lite, which loses basic functionality such as swim and floor climb tracking, plus Fitbit Pay, all of which are available on the Charge 3. And yet, the Versa Lite costs more than the Charge 3. On the other hand, we’ve got a gem that’s the Inspire HR.
