New Kid On The Block

Siddhant Chaturvedi has got off to a great start. His larger than life persona as MC Sher in Zoya Akhtar’s raging hit Gully Boy instantly struck a chord with the audience, as they watched him dance, rap, sing and strut in style on cue, portraying an overload of machismo and charisma. Within months of the movie’s release Chaturvedi has emerged as an out-and-out boy crush who’s not only got every other girl vying for his attention, but possesses all the attributes of being the next Bollywood heartthrob.

The 26-year-old breakout star met us on a misty monsoon afternoon, the light drizzle outside created the perfect setting for a day of cheeky musings with this veritable hunk. Dressed in a striped button-down shirt, jeans, and a pair of trainers, Chaturvedi cut a laid-back look. His energy was palpable and his charm, well, he had us at hello. Even as a swarm of people rallied around him to get him his coffee and clothes, he remained quite the enigma to us, waiting to be deciphered.

The actor worked his smouldering good looks for the camera, pulling out all the stops, as he transitioned from the dapper to the devilishly-flirty bad boy. After a marathon seven hours of shooting and multiple rounds of fittings, we finally got some alone time. One last touch of lipstick, a quick glance in the mirror, and we were off to unravel the real Siddhant Chaturvedi who’s shown up in the industry like a seasoned pro, with both looks and talent to boot.
