What do you love most about your work?
“When I went into doing makeup, I loved the creation and transformation properties of it. I loved being on set and being able to pull a vision together. What surprised me was that other people were interested in what I was doing, followed me on social media, and were curious about the things that I would create. I never expected that. It’s very heartfelt and touching.”
What’s the one thing you’d want people to know about your job?
“That we have to work really hard. Sometimes you feel sick or need more sleep, but not showing it on your face and soldiering on with the job is what makes you valuable. Nobody wants to hear you complain about the job. If you’re efficient and pleasant, all the while hiding any kind of discomfort, people will be happy to have you for other jobs.”
