Chilly mornings, crunchy cold underfoot and blindingly blue skies, this is how amazing it feels during winters! Winter is the time, when people start listing their do’s right from a small winter walk to a winter vacation. To enjoy every bit of it, it’s important to take care of your delicate skin and body. Cold weather can be really hard to your skin and hair. Itching, dryness, flakiness,brittleness of hair, and chapped skin tends to be a common problem but it’s easy to get rid of it in quite a quick time. We bring some interesting way to deal with it.

Get Softer in Winter

MOISTURIZE MORE

As weather conditions changes you should also make changes in your skin care routine. Find a moisturizer that’s oil-based, rather than water-based, as the oil will create a protective layer on the skin that retains more moisture than a cream or lotion.

CHAPPED LIPS

Keeping a tube of lip balm in an easily accessible pocket is a good first step, but winter winds can take chapped lips to a whole new level. If lips are flaky, take a clean soft toothbrush and very gently exfoliate the skin to remove excess skin. Slather on a lip balm with lanolin and keep reapplying throughout the day. Lanolin is a natural moisturizer that softens skin and reduces evaporation, keeping the skin hydrated. For seriously dry lips, apply honey or Vaseline to the lips for 15 minutes and then remove with a cotton swab dipped in hot water.

THE EFFECT OF HONEY

To soften stubborn dry patches on rough elbows and knees, opt for a rich, hydrating scrub. Studies show that humectant honey reduces inflammation, and sugar increases circulation in skin.
