Ship ‘Emfast… Super Fast!
Exhibit|August 2019

For the love of God, we need these Supercars in India before they are left for good in an abandoned junkyard. In an era where countries are forced to focus on limiting their greenhouse gas effect and are encouraged to manufacture electric vehicles.

ACURA NSX (2019)

We enthusiasts, on the other hand, are trying to convince these self-proclaimed environmentalists that internal combustion engines aren’t solely responsible for all the bad that is happening to our environment. That’s a whole new topic of discussion for some other day. Luckily, some car manufacturers are still staying loyal to us enthusiasts by manufacturing these machines that no electric car will ever match or even come close to, at least in terms of pure driving emotion. Well, not all supercars are petrol-guzzling, window shattering, ear-deafening manic monsters. There are some hybrids that are equally fast without doing any of the above and also are worthy of the supercar tag, pardon me, the hybrid supercar tag. India deserves these supercars! And if someday these supercars are ever flown down to our state, we enthusiasts will be living our wettest dream!

When the NSX was first introduced by Honda, it was meant to take on the likes of Porsches and Ferraris. Of course, the task was never going to be an easy one. The first generation was perfected to such an extent that now it has become a benchmark for the Honda designers and engineers. Did you know? Ayrton Senna was also responsible for finetuning the NSX before it got the legendary status. During its initial concept phase, the Honda NS-X was called the New Sports Experimental. Today, after almost 26 years Honda calls its second generation of NSX as the New Sports eXperience. Quite a shift from being an experimental supercar to a great experience in itself. Firstly, it's a hybrid supercar which has been perfected in Japan's extremely technical Formula One racetrack, the Suzuka circuit. And the 2019 Acura NSX was able to slash the preceding model's fastest lap by two seconds. So apart from that what's the current generation got to boast about? For starters, it has got a Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive power unit which consists of a twin-turbocharged mid-mounted V6 engine paired to a 9-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. This 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine has crazy 573 horses and 645-newton metres of torque underneath. The instant surge in torque comes from the electric motor that can be utilized to its full potential by switching into the Track mode settings, which takes the car only 2.7 seconds to reach the 100 km/h mark. If that doesn't pull you back in your seat then the NSX's top speed of 307 km/h should do the trick. Also, the NSX's Integrated Dynamics System with Quiet, Sport, Sport+ and Track modes provide for a wider range of driving experiences than conventional supercars. It's true, if you want to be truly impressed by a supercar then you should buy the Honda NSX without having to punch a hole in your pocket. Talking about money, the Honda-Acura NSX has a starting price of $157,500 which in India after all the taxes should be in excess of 2 crore.

IN-GAME VEHICLES WE WISH WERE REAL

Videogames never fail to transport us to a world that is far beyond our reach, yet controllable by the tips of our fingers (quite literally). While open-world games offer a vast, new lifestyle to explore, they also give us a taste of some unique vehicles. Well, calling them vehicles would be an understatement as these perform so many more tasks than just commute, but they’re some uber-cool pieces of machinery nevertheless. That said, here are some of the coolest in-game vehicles that we would love to test-ride!
