Except for the fact that music and entertainment consumption has become more personal now (blame the excellent head/earphones of the present day), hardcore music lovers and audiophiles still love their huge speakers and audio receivers which produce exceptional quality of music.
Sound was initially recorded in Analog format in Vinyl discs and magnetic tapes which were later edited and mastered in audio production studios. Eventually, sound was being recorded digitally and then mastered and it still is being recorded digitally in highresolution audio files and stored. These files are then mixed, mastered and edited to render the final song.
The real output of sound does not only depend on a high-end audio receiver system but also on the speakers which reproduce the sound in the most natural way. Home entertainment systems usually feature a ‘5.1’ or ‘7.1’ speaker system, where the ‘5’ is the total number of speaker channels and ‘.1’ is the subwoofer attached in the system. High-end audio systems need to be paired with high-quality speakers for the most optimal sound output.
For most of the music lovers, the quality of sound is the last thing you would worry about. Most of the digital players now reproduce very good quality sound that is more than enough for day to day home usage. However, for those trained ears of the audiophiles who can tell the difference will not be satisfied with a regular system and would prefer a high-quality system instead.
Setting up a good quality audio system does not need very extensive knowledge. You can look into some basic things and have a good quality audio setup for yourself at home. It is obvious that the system will be able to play most of the usual stuff and be able to reproduce very good details. Let us go through the very basic components for setting up home audio.
