We live in an era where safety is always given number one priority in almost everything.

Motorsport is one such field in which the number of safety standards is highest as compared to any sport. To say the least it is a dangerous sport and behind all the glamour lies a lot of attention to detail in organizing the sporting event in the safest way possible. We bring you across some documentaries and movies that give you an insight into how the world of motorsport has actually evolved.

LIFE ON THE LIMIT

The opening sequence of this movie will give you goosebumps on the back of your neck. I don’t want to spoil the fun for you by mentioning what the opening sequence was like, but there will be many such instances in this documentary that will come off as a ghastly surprise to you. Formula 1 when it began was pure racing and safety always took a back seat in the early 1950s. Nothing was organized and it was exactly like a circus. I remember three times World Champion, Jackie Stewart said in the documentary, “When I was in F1, sex was safe and motor racing was dangerous.” After watching this documentary my respect for the racing drivers of the past have increased who drove in ridiculously fast cars with minimum safety gears around a track which had minimum safety standards.
