Future star Amyra Dastur fancied it up on our tech diva throne as she spoke about her passion, ambition, preferences and her tech facets. Read through to know this and a lot more.
Your journey so far seems quite eventful with big films in your repertoire. How do you feel having achieved so much for someone your age?
AMYRA: Honestly, I feel really grateful and happy about all that I have achieved but I don't see my age as a limit and I hope to achieve far more by the time I hit 30. It has everything to do with hard work, dedication, discipline, faith and dumb luck.
I would be speaking for you when i say your most interesting project in the last few months has been kung fu yoga. How did you land the role?
A casting director called me and asked me to come into the office for an audition wearing an outfit that resembles Angelina Jolie in Lara Croft. I did the audition as well as I possibly could, not knowing which film it was for. Then, I was asked to perform a few gymnastics and Martial arts move. The very next day I got a call from Jackie Chan's production head asking me about my dates and availability. It was smooth sailing from there on.
Tell us all about your experience working on a Chinese film and with legend Jackie Chan.
This truly was the most professional and organized sets I've ever worked on. It is also the grandest set I've ever been to. We worked with 3 cameras and we flew all over the world. Jackie is the most down to earth individual I've had the honor to not only meet, but to work with as well. He's so generous and kind and he inspired me to get involved in his journey to create a cleaner and more pollution free environment for the generations to come. He is what I call a Real Life Hero.
