Marrfish is now delivering to customers at home

Ben English is the operations director for Marrfish Ltd.

‘I’m one of the shareholders and I’ve been here since we started operations in January 2011,’ he explains.

Before the Covid 19 crisis, Marrfish’s customer base was purely trade, high end restaurants and gastro pubs in and around London and throughout East Anglia, plus some universities too. Two years ago they expanded operations and opened a factory in Grimsby to help with the processing.

Ben explains: ‘The Marr family is our business partner, with five generations of fishermen and vessel owners. In Peterhead in Scotland, the Marr family owns 60 vessels. We take what they catch and sell it to people who appreciate the quality of their fish. We also do all the preparation so it’s ready for chefs to throw in the pan.’

They regularly deliver to chefs including Jason Atherton and Angela Hartnette, plus top-notch London restaurants including the Dorchester, the Royal Lancaster and The Landmark.
