Así he aprendido sobre el estilo y características de cada urbe, también de cómo todas tienen algo que nos conecta con una historia o imagen popular que las identifica, por ejemplo, el edificio Chrysler en Nueva York, el letrero de Hollywood con Los Ángeles, el Big Ben en Londres, y claro, el famoso Golden Gate con San Francisco. Muchas de esas escenas viven en nuestra cabeza gracias a películas, series o sets que sirvieron para dar vida a historias editoriales, pero, también es muy interesante ver más allá de esas inmensidades; pienso en algo así como observar a detalle el entorno, para así entender más de la esencia del lugar, especialmente cuando solo tenemos 24 horas para recorrerlo.
Eso me pasó con la última que puse como referencia, San Francisco. Después de un buen café y con reloj en mano, un De Ville Prestige de Omega, minimalista y con correa en piel negra, me propuse hacer cosas sencillas como pasear identificando edificios victorianos y a la vez, sentir la pesadez que es subir las grandes avenidas. Después de unas largas cuadras, llegué al corazón de la ciudad: Union Square, un lugar que te ayuda a coronar la experiencia completa de caminar por la calle.
