Let's Talk Tables!
EL Singapore|January 2021
Every tree has its own “signature” – colours, markings and patterns that are different from the next tree. For this reason, each piece of wooden furniture has its own story – and that goes for the dining tables at furniture store Originals, too. We asked the team to tell us more.

Why are your wooden dining tables special?

The beauty of real wood is created by the infinite variations in its grain, texture and colour. This is especially true of the solid hardwood used in our wooden dining tables. Each piece of natural wood is unique, so each piece of furniture is one of a kind. A piece of solid wood furniture at home also makes a classy statement.

Tell us specifically about the wood you use in your collections.

Solid timber is known for its longevity. Timber products are far stronger, heavier and of a much higher quality than cheaper grade woods. They’re also easier to repair, should they get damaged. Timber joints can also withstand greater impacts, so it’s a more robust material for surfaces that see heavy use such as table tops.

Our teak collection includes products that are 100 percent FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified. We also carry the FSC COC (Chain of Custody) certificate, which verifies the path of products through the whole supply chain.
