Though Bangkok is bustling, it’s still super simple to plan a weekend of R&R in the Thai capital, if you so choose. That was the plan for four of us friends, who, having hit all the tourist attractions on past trips, craved a mix of pool and spa time, retail therapy and curry, without going too far from Singapore.
We were looking for a luxe setting and central location that’s walkable from the Sky Train (who wants to sit in Bangkok traffic?), and COMO Metropolitan Bangkok sounded like the perfect pick for our three-day, kid-free retreat. Situated in the Central Business District, the hotel is walking distance from shops and restaurants (not to mention loads of aesthetic clinics and nail salons) but set back from the street enough to feel quiet and removed – an urban oasis that’s still close enough to all the action!
