Art has always been close to my heart. I love to study the paintings of old masters and their use of light, texture, and composition. One of the best way to understand this for me was by printing their artwork.
One day, while I was making an omelet, I cracked an egg on the counter, next to a pile of such prints. I began to wonder how it would look on the paintings. This minor mishap marked the genesis of the Accident Series.
A Reflection of one’s self
As a practitioner of Dadaism, it was important for me to create this project using cost-effective materials, which I procured from 99 cent stores. It was also crucial for me to not repeat any paintings or objects. Such restrictions only pushed me to produce exceptional still life photographs.
