Visual Artist Nandita Richie, an alumni of Delhi College of Art, is an established visual artist and a designer since the last 25 years.

She has now launched her signature line of silk scarves, sarees, pocket squares and silk ties, which are digital prints of her 'art on canvas' - introducing something new to both the fashion and creative markets.

As a visual artist, some of the influences for Nandita Richie have been the impressionist, post-impressionist and expressionist art styles - that can be easily identified in her works - though she also focuses on modern and contemporary art.

Nandita works with the ‘wet on wet’ technique and paints her canvas inspired by nature - with the velvety petals of flowers or the depth of water. “Many of her recent works comprise of a series of florals and waterscapes on canvas - that are all inspired by her grandfather’s garden, where she would spend a lot of time as a child.

It seems that the lotus flower is a central theme in your paintings - what is the story behind that?
