Why monitoring your credit score has become extremely important today

Just as you have an annual health check up to ensure that you remain in good health, it has become equally important to keep a close eye on your credit score. This will ensure that in case you have to apply for a loan, your application is accepted, and you get a good rate of interest.

Check your credit score at least once every quarter. If your score is above 750, then you are in good shape. But what if it is below that level? What can you do to improve it?

The most important thing is to develop good credit behaviour. This means that you develop a track record of paying your credit card bills and equated monthly instalments (EMIs) on time.
