DIY health treatments are often more effective than prescription drugs and costly pharmacy medicines. And some are totally free…
10 Natural Home Cures That Work Better Than Drugs!

1 For a cough… have honey

Public Health England has said honey is more effective than cough medicine. They, and treatment assessment body NICE, found that honey was the best way to treat acute short-term coughs from a cold or flu. It also helps to relieve a sore throat. And it tastes great! Add 1-2tsp honey and the juice of half a lemon to a mug of boiled water. Drink warm. Not suitable for children under five.

2 For constipation… drink water

‘Constipation is very common and is usually treated at home with changes to your diet and lifestyle,’ says Woman’s Weekly doctor Melanie Wynne- Jones. Drink plenty of water and make sure you get enough fibre – through eating fruit, veg and cereals. Government guidelines recommend we eat 30g of fibre a day but most of us get an average of only 18g. Not being active is also a common cause of constipation, so move as often as you can.

3 For earwax build-up… try olive oil

It’s much cheaper than buying special over-the-counter ear drops. Just put two to three drops into your ear twice a day until any compacted ear wax loosens and falls out.

4 For high blood pressure… have an orgasm
