STONELEIGH Community Library is extraordinary in what it does to bring local people together and enrich lives. Stoneleigh is what might be termed a suburban village, a residential area with heart, and lies just within Surrey, hugging the northern county boundary.
Many smaller libraries have struggled to survive, what with cuts and competition from today’s free book and giveaway culture, good for readers up to a point, until they want to borrow a specific book and find their local library has closed for good. Stoneleigh has risen to the challenge and diversified like there’s no tomorrow!
