Marble exudes a classic beauty which plays up the aesthetics of any room. The family living in this prestigious unit nestled within Marina South has an affinity for this gorgeous stone, and therefore specified it for their new home. Helming the renovation of this condo is designer Eva Ng from DISTINCTidENTITY, and she reveals: “The homeowners are very fond of marble textures and the design brief entailed including it into the design. They wanted a luxurious and modern feel on the whole.”
The lavish treatment of marble has been mostly applied to the walls, as the unit itself came with marble flooring. Featured in the communal zones and down the hallway, the magnificence of the marble veining creates a real statement, and the use of real marble, rather than marble-effect materials, further elevates the scale and elegance of the place.
As the main feature of the hall is the ceiling, Eva explains that reflective gold-plated inlays were added to boost the luxe appeal of the home. This metal detailing was also carried over to the walls.
