Black and white walls create a striking yet neutral backdrop for the owner’s collection of art works, each perfectly lighted from above to bring out every detail. Foregoing the usual bulky furnishings, this area was deliberately kept spare to evoke a gallery feel and facilitate viewing of the art.
Sleek white cabinetry makes the cooking zone bright and roomy, but to infuse the space with personality, the designer proposed Peranakan-style ceramic tiles as an accent for the floor to add pops of colour and local flavour to the space.
