The Co. is revolutionising office life with its newest outpost at Duxton Road, where a classy colonial setting sits comfortably with modern workplace conveniences.
With its proximity to the Central Business District, you would think that Duxton Road is a concrete jungle populated by skyscrapers. While it may be surrounded by sky-high structures, the enclave itself is actually a charming spot populated by quaint three-storey shop houses conserved from Singapore’s colonial days.
And within this district of trendy restaurants and independent shops sits The Co., an unconventional co-working space that eminently redefines the parameters of work.
The Co. is an internationally award-winning project hosted by Arcc Spaces. The fourth of its kind to open – with one located at High Street and two others in Malaysia – The Co. at 99 Duxton Road aims to be the catalyst for community, providing reason for people to linger in the scene rather than just having touch-and-go encounters in the eateries.
“We believe that work is not just about work, it’s also about how you plug into the neighbourhood,” shares Chua Ke Wei, the marketing communications manager at Arcc Spaces. “We want to help people in their social journey as well.” The Co. was thus envisioned to be an environment that will bring people together, and subsequently spawn creative partnerships among co-workers in complementary fields.
