WINDOWS of opportunity

Our experts have noticed a renewed energy for renovations and home décor. Here’s what they have to say on the latest trends and must-have items for sprucing up your home with the latest window coverings.

RIGHT ON TRACK

Wave Track is an innovative curtain rail that forms uniform tubular-like pleats to create a minimalistic, clean and chic look. Wave rails can be concealed by cover rods that are available in colour palettes that will match any colour scheme. You can opt for a custom-coloured track and pelmet. For convenience of maintenance and longevity in curtain hardware, “the wave track will definitely fill the gap”, says Riona Naiker of Papini Accessories.

Automation and motorised curtain tracks and blinds are still trending. “Home automation is very popular for lighting, heating, cameras and security, and now you can include your window coverings as well. Furthermore, you can control the opening of your curtains and blinds remotely,” says Sharmla Ramharry of Supertrack. “You can set your blinds on timers or in groups and can even raise and lower your blind according to the sunset and sunrise,” adds Paul O’Brien from Blind Designs.
