Poliform is a classic tale of a small-time artisan shop started during 1942, which took nearly three decades to take on a more formal shape, when it metamorphosed into an established furniture company in 1970, in the Italian region of Brianza. Run essentially as a family business, it is heralded presently by a mix of members in the second and third generation. Although every cell of Poliform is stamped in the archetypal ‘Made In Italy’ schema, it quickly moulded itself over the period of time towards a more global approach to design and technique, in sync with the expansion of its geographical borders globally. This flair was probably the key stratagem that has catapulted the company towards its status as a world leader in designer furniture.
