Celebrity Masterchef Kevin Dundon, proprietor of Dunbrody Country House Hotel, didn’t let Covid and the subsequent lockdowns prevent him from sharing his cookery skills, and with guests unable to get to him, he used the power of social media to get to them instead.
‘It was such a shock to the system when we had to close our doors in March 2020, however, I began my live 2 pm cookery classes five days a week on Instagram and Facebook with the help of my daughter Sophie. With over 1.7 million views per month we have continued to bring a range of recipes to our audience over the last 18 months. From sourdough and porridge bread, in keeping with the baking trends at the start of lockdown, to family meal ideas for those bored of the endless cooking as the months progressed, we continue to offer lots of useful cooking tips and tasty recipes.’
Kevin and his team also moved their cookery courses online and are continuing these over the coming months. ‘Bookings have been really strong for these and with all of this new online activity we are actually in the process of launching a new, updated version of kevindundon.com – so watch this space!’ adds Kevin.
