Standing up to the vibe of Mumbai city, a café that gives an experience of dining under the large faux sunken boat surrounded by fluid waves, is the Farzi Café and is most definitely one of its kind. With parametric design methods and computational techniques used to design the waves, rat[LAB] creates an exceptional dining space symbolizing a restaurant under the Mumbai sea.

Designers Sushant Verma and Anchal Chaudhary mention, “As sea waves undulate to express constant dynamism, we capture their essence and beauty in static forms using parametric design methods coupled with digital fabrication techniques”. A tuneful ambience, a subtle color scheme and a crisp and functional planning with ample circulation make the Farzi café where a large boat installation has been suspended from the ceiling under the carefully executed waves; along with smaller boats rowing in a wave pattern to form a chandelier at the entrance of the restaurant.
