Take Note Of The Tiny Long-tailed Tit

Do long-tailed tits visit your garden?

If they do, you’ll have noticed – even if bird ID isn’t your strongest suit. That long tail makes this tiny bird very easy to tell apart from other tit family members, such as the blue tit and the coal tit.

The long-tailed tit is definitely a bird to look out for if you’re taking part in this year’s Big Garden Birdwatch. Over four decades the survey has charted the mixed fortunes of garden birds, with winners and losers.
