EMMA SIMS HILDITCH The secret to timeless style

Include natural products that are built to last

Whether or not you've plunged headlong into the Cottagecore trend, been scouting accessories for your take on the Soho Farmhouse look, or caught up with Tropical Modernism (it's the new, New England style apparently), there's always a fresh interiors trend to keep up with. But following fashion is a never-ending- and expensive - pursuit. And one that makes the latest must-have more important than any 'do you like it', 'does it suit your home', 'is it worth it' consideration. So how do we tread that fine line between the thrill of the new, and the perennially stylish?

'When most people consider home décor trends, they think of passing fads that will quickly become tired and dated,' explains interior designer Emma Sims Hilditch, founder of Sims Hilditch design agency. 'While this certainly can be the case, it is possible to choose the trends you follow carefully, allowing you to keep up with the latest fashion, while maintaining a timeless home.'
