For Kentucky native Todd Foreman there were twin priorities when buying his north London flat. ‘It was essential I got permission to have Gracie, my Schipperke dog,’ he says. ‘It also had to be big enough to have an en suite.’
Once he had found the flat that ticked both of these boxes, Todd appointed interior designer, Anna Ellis, who he had worked with on his previous flat. Design-wise, he wanted a different look to his last home. ‘Todd was thinking deep neutrals, but the sitting room was four by seven metres, so I thought it could take strong colour,’ says Anna. ‘Todd’s vibrant art collection helped sculpt the schemes, too. Artwork can take a room from good to great, and it doesn’t have to be expensive.’
