Soothing Blues Pillow
Quilter's World|Winter 2020
Simple embroidered lines, inspired by Japanese sashiko embroidery, are worked on the white strips in four shades of blue floss to create a soothing feel.

I’ve been wanting to try my hand at Japanese sashiko embroidery, which is so popular right now. Although traditional sashiko uses a special needle, thread and fabric, I used embroidery floss and felt to create a similar effect in this design.” —Kathleen Berlew
