8 square each 2 different holiday prints

12 x 18 piece bright green wool felt*

12 x 18 piece red wool felt*

Scrap white wool felt*

Scrap clear vinyl

1/4yard paper-backed fusible web

Template material

7/16-diameter buttons: 2 bright green and 2 red

Pearl cotton: green and red

Embroidery floss: bright green, red and white

Embroidery needle

Tissue paper

Fine-point marking pen

Pinking shears

Basic sewing tools and supplies

PROJECT NOTES

Read all instructions before beginning this project.

Use two strands of embroidery floss for all sewing and embroidery.

Stitch right sides together using a 1/4 seam allowance unless otherwise specified.

WOF – width of fabric

HST – half-square triangle

QST – quarter-square triangle

CUTTING

Prepare templates for envelope, envelope lining and label pocket using provided patterns.

From bright green felt cut:

1 envelope

2 label pockets

From red felt cut:

1 envelope

2 label pockets

From white felt cut:

2 (11/2 x 13/4) rectangles for stamp backings

From vinyl cut:

2 (11/2 x 3) rectangles for label windows
